weaving workshop Bangalow palm
Saturday 28 May 1-3pm
I'm this workshop we will be playing with the magnificent Bangalow palm inflorescence, which is the seed carrier from this native Australian tree. You will have the choice to make a random weave style basket or alternatively you might like to tackle the lattice weave technique to give your piece a more structured look. As we are a small group we tailor the learning to you.
Our inflorescence is freshly fallen and one prepared is deliciously soft and supple. Weaving from natural fibres donated by Mother Nature is such a humbling and rewarding experience as you create a decorative and functional piece using just your hands.
You will go home with a "wow" factor creation.
The location is within the beautiful space of "The Possibility Project" shop function room.
